Title: The Patriot Insurgency (1763-1789)
Post by: TriggerJerk on May 22, 2022, 06:56:52 PM
Team Maryland,

Case Studies in Insurgency and Irregular Warfare - The Patriot Insurgency (1763-1789)

https://www.soc.mil/ARIS/books/pdf/patriot-insurgency.pdf

"This case study examines the Patriot insurgency that developed among the English colonies in North America in the mid-eighteenth century and that eventually declared, fought for, and achieved independence from the mother country. There is a wealth of historical studies of the American Revolution, but this case study offers a unique perspective. Instead of simply repeating the well-documented history of the Revolution, we scrutinize the Patriots through the lens of modern insurgency doctrine and concepts."

Enjoy,

[Edit:  Admin, sorry, I just saw the History section...  If this should be moved from MD, please advise and I'll do so. ]

[Edit 2:  Moved to History.  Del/RM as appropriate. ]

I haven't read all yet, but the table timeline on page 15 is a usefull overview of when events happen (Sugar Act, Currency Act, Stamp Act, Quartering Act, etc.)

This would go well on the History board, too.

Thank you.
