A gathering of 16 patriots assembled at Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club for a weekend of marksmanship and history.
A big big thank you to those who brought their families! We had 7 youth shooters on the line, and all were safe, attentive, and showed significant progress. The most improved award, adult or youth goes to one young man who went from not qualifying at all on the first red coat to CLEANING it on the last. HUZZAH!
A big big thank you, also, to the instructors who came and helped. A great group, and to borrow a few words from Yeats: "Think where man's glory most begins and ends, And say my glory was I had such friends." The instructors included both Faithoverfear and Crankshaft, working their first shoot as orange hats. Huzzah!
Kudos to our new rifleman, Jim, who brought his M-1A, fired it throughout the weekend, and made everyone grin at the BOOM from the right end of the line.
Huzzah! for Luke who requalified as rifleman and not just that but added a Distinguished rocker, scoring 240 on the last AQT of the weekend.
