LARAMIE RIFLE RANGE 17-18 APRIL
Patriots' Day!!!
Wow! Someone hit the airconditioning switch instead of heat! At Laramie Rifle Range Saturday would have qualified as a Winterseed: below freezing - intermittent snow -and strong breezes.! We began with 6 students, instead of the ten preregistered, the other 4 must have known what the weather would be.
We had 2 family groups: Sapphire & Rob, and Lisa & Wes, and two individuals: Russ and Byron.
They were enthusiastic students and we worked them hard all day on the basics. It paid off because we finished Saturday with our first new Rifleman of the weekend: Byron at his first Appleseed with a 217. Regular guy requaled with a 236. Kudos to both and thanks for showing us how to do it, despite the weather.
Sunday started with an AQT in almost balmy weather, then back to basics: NPOA drills, carding sights and shooting a group without, and then with a sling. All were impressed at how hits improved with a sling. We made no more Riflemen, though Russ was pretty close. All agreed that they had learned a lot and were looking forward to doing it again. Thanks to all for their enthusiasm and ;ositive attitudes.
Thanks to all the instructors: Boxmag1, marathongirl, Ridge Walker, Undertaker, and. regular guy. Youall did a great job.
As ever, thanks to Laramie Rifle Range for supporting Project Appleseed. You folks are great.
Thanks to M1bzrk for the outstanding supervision
Wyoming/Colorado Appleseed is off to a great year!
Let's make this the best year and get those new liberty loving shooters on the line! :~
Sounds like you guys had another great shoot up in Wyoming. The population may be small but the liberty is huge!
Thankful for all who came out to help make this happen, those who came out to participate, and those who sacrificed to allow us to have events like this.
