Another absolutely positively great event with the Trail Life Scouts.
If you haven't yet met these people you're missing out. These young men, and their mentors, will give you hope for the future.
We had 35 young men on the line. And a few of the adults to help us keep things in line.
Saturday evening we had a flag retirement ceremony and told the 2nd strike (thanks gugisman). It was very touching. This is another one of those things that if you haven't been to a retirement ceremony - well let's just say you need to get out to one. It really gets you to thinking about things.
The young men were very well behaved. The term 'yes sir' and 'no sir' is in their vocabulary. Old school - the way it was when I was going up - which was more years ago than I like to admit. Scores did improve of course.
Anyhow - thanks all for a memorable weekend. And thanks to the instructors.
Wow, sounds like you had a fantastic event with a great group of young men. Huzzah to your shooters and the instructors!
Congratulations on a successful Trail Life shoot!
Thoroughly enjoyed my time with you folks a year ago. Great group of instructors and students.

This was a multi-troop campout, on site, at the Central Texas Rifle and Pistol Club, China Spring, TX. Thank you CTRP for your outstanding support of youth shooting sports. Many thanks too, to Waco Tactical Fitness, for donating 3000 rounds of CCI .22lr to youth shooting sports. Trail Life USA is indebted to both organizations for their support. And, over course, thank you Appleseed Volunteer Instructors for your time and service to our nation's youth. God Bless you all. Eric Inman, Trail Life Appleseed Camp Director.
