What a wonderful way to end the year!!
The last event of the year was sold out!!! Even though not everyone showed up we still ended up with 26 students on the line Saturday morning. 5 youth from 8-15.
This was a group of fun, safe, focused folks. Beginners (as in had not shot a rifle until Saturday am) to those who had been shooting for many years filled the line.
Our youngest two students were "designated snipers" for the day. 8 & 10, they were very attentive and seemed to very much enjoy the day.
This group asked lots of questions, and put what we taught them to work. There were a few returning students working on refining their techniques.
We broke for lunch and some history, before returning to the line and more instruction.
We were all a little on the toasty side by the end of the day as this October event had temps in the low 90's both days.
Sunday saw some folks not return, due to other conflicts or the heat. The 18 that returned came back with focus and determination. And laughter, lots of laughter.
No Rifleman scores this weekend, but lots of Riflemen and Riflewomen in the hearts and minds of these students.
