Title: You say you want to be an INSTRUCTOR....
Post by: DragonWood on February 25, 2009, 03:30:19 PM
Well now is your chance!

IBC in Puryear, TN!   March 21 & 22  (Sat and Sun)

Two days of training including a mock AS. This will get you better prepared for the April 19th events.

It has been said that my RBC's and IBC's are the "cushy" boot camps. Ask the guys who attended the Hernando IBC, they will tell you how cushy it really was! ;)

You can PM or reply to this post with any questions. Hope to see you there!

New and prospective IITs,
If you are sitting on the fence let me help motivate you.  I was at the Hernando IBC and DW does a great job.  I was startled by the quantity and quality of the training--I was already an IIT (with one whole Appleseed under my belt) and thought I had a good idea of how to instruct.  Hah!  I've done two more shoots since and am still endeavoring to reach the high standard she demonstrated.
She does run a very laid back and mellow program.  I stayed with friends during the IBC and the following shoot; when I dragged my weary butt in their front door at 8:30 to 9:00 each night I said, "that woman is a slave driver!"
One of the nice things about DW is that she has so pleasant a personality that you don't realize how hard she's working you until afterwards.

Just a short note to say "DITTOS" to what Rick said about the Hernando, FL, IBC taught by DW. Now, she's going to do one at Puryear, TN, and they need you guys/gals to sign up to do something for this sinking ship we're all on.

If you WANT to learn how to do an AS the right way, DW will teach you on EVERY aspect fully and completely.

You will learn, and this was a super great IBC due to her very high quality level of instruction and her persistence to make sure we
all got the techniques down. After an IBC with her, you just need to STUDY and immediately go out and work some AS events to integrate the instruction techniques you learn from her.  O0

I just had an email from dond from Puryear and he's LOOKING for some people who want to become AS Instructors to attend.

So, get signed up and go. You will NOT REGRET it. Be prepared to learn. DW will work you until every one of you get it RIGHT!!!
She's Super Great as an instructor, and without any doubt, she's one very superlative asset to the AS Project. So go let her teach you
how to "bail." We need all the "bailers" we can get for this Ship. She's gonna sink if you don't do your part and attending an IBC is an excellent way to start. &)
