An absolutely beautiful weekend. You couldn't ask anymore from the weather, sunny, temperate, with a nice breeze. A gorgeous weekend for friends and patriots alike to assemble on the green fields of Orwell gun club. Saturday started off with the welcome and the safety briefing where everyone learned how much Dom likes to dance! Before we knew it, rifles were being brought to the line and the real fun began.
The Saturday morning redcoat showed that our multiple returning shooters remembered most of what they'd learned before with two proficient at 400, three proficient at 200, two proficient at 100, three joining Daniel Morgan's riflemen, with one cleared redcoat.
We then rolled right into our points of instruction and before we knew it we had our sights adjusted and time for lunch.
After a hearty delicious lunch provided by the club, and a stirring first strike given by Ohio's own state coordinator, we returned to the range for the introduction of seated and standing positions. Rousing second and third strikes were presented with liberty roused in the hearts of all. Before the day ended a practice aqt was shot and the afternoon redcoat.
Sunday dawned as a repeat of Saturday with beautiful skies overhead. A review of the steady hold factors, six steps, and npoa were presented and it was time to put all of the work from Saturday into action.
The results were impressive with Alex requalifying with a couple of distinguished scores. Gary and Isaac joined the ranks of Ohio Riflemen after persisting for several events. huzzah!
Glen and sydnee, keep working those fundamentals and follow through. Christy, such great improvement over the course of the weekend. I'm confident that you'll make score shortly, just make sure Alex gives you good equipment ;)
Hope to see you all down the trail!

Taking a little time for instructing...
Father and son scored Rifleman on the same weekend. How neat is that?
After a fun team event, we had identified the "Sharpshooters", who went home with the coveted Appleseed sticker.
The future of our country lies in our youth. We are preparing well if these are our future...
And, what better way to close out a weekend than with a new Shoot Boss? HUZZAH!!!
Sounds like a great weekend! Congratulations to all the shooters, particularly the new Riflemen O0 And, of course, a big congratulations and thank you to cwcdl79 :F

When you have great people working an event, the life of a Shoot Boss gets real easy. My thanks to all the folks who worked this event, it made my job easy as you can see. O0
Ah, if every shoot could be this well run and well staffed. ;D
My thanks to all the shooters, to all the Instructors who came to see Dom get his Green hat and to the "big guy" upstairs for giving us two perfect days of weather.

A rifleman, or in this case, a Shoot Boss persists!
Glad I could be there to see it happen.
