Authorization of Loaner Rifles with Restriction(s)
The RWVA encourages and authorizes its volunteers to make loaner rifles available to Appleseed shooters who may need or request them. RWVA asks its volunteers to make every effort to insure that such loaners are in good working order and to adequately instruct the shooter in its safe and proper operation. However, RWVA recognizes that mechanical malfunction may occur notwithstanding best maintenance practices and for purposes of its liability insurance coverage considers loaning rifles as an authorized act of its volunteers. The .17 HMR rifle is NOT authorized as a loaner rifle by Instructors to Appleseed shooters at any time during the event.
