Title: Salem, OH AAR July 25-26, 2020
Post by: EZ3 on July 28, 2020, 07:24:13 PM
This was another wonderful event at a long-time host of Project Appleseed.  The weather was hot, and the marksmanship even hotter as twenty liberty-loving Americans came out to share a weekend of 20th century-style shooting and 18th century heritage.  Thanks to Salem Hunting Club for hosting us once again, and special thanks to Jay, who took time from his hosting duties to fire the high score for the weekend (238).

Anthony and Dano started off the Rifleman patch parade on Saturday with a 218 and 234, respectively.  Dano followed up on Sunday with three more Rifleman-worthy targets.  Jay also qualified three times, with a high of 238, and Rich twice with a high of 235 (earning him the Distinguished bar for his patch).  Ryan (217) and Heather (229) also earned patches.  Three or four more shooters scored consistently in the Sharpshooter range, but couldn't quite get through the gate to Rifleman.  The AQT is truly a grueling test of the marksman and their equipment.

I would like to say thank you again to the Appleseed crew! It was a great weekend as usual and I can't wait for next year. Next time I have to beat that 234...

Huzzah!!! Looks like we had another great Appleseed at Salem.  Thanks to Jay and the club for having us back again and it looks like there was a great deal of expert marksmanship going on at this event.  Congrats to all the shooters and a big thank you to all the Instructors that worked the event.

It was indeed a superb weekend. Thanks to everyone who attended. The positive attitudes and persistence in that stifling heat were impressive. Also, a big thank you to the instructors and shoot boss. It was great working with ya'll.
