Title: 600 yard KD at Vets Shooting Center 20 November 2019
Post by: Quinncannon on November 21, 2019, 08:26:07 AM
Another beautiful Fall day in north central Arkansas at the VETS Shooting Center! I was the only Rifleman to shoot with a sling, shooting my LRB M14 match rifle. For those who might want to know, this rifle has a Kreiger heavy barrel, with the remainder of the parts being USGI manufactured, the whole thing sits in a McMillan fiberglass stock. Rifle assembled by a shop in North Carolina. Glass on the rifle is a 1x4 Vortex Viper PST, mount is a Basset. Ammo shot, 168 grain SMK's, a great 600 yard load for the M14.

The other Riflemen were shooting bolt action .223's and .308 with high powered scopes and bipods. They shoot in the NRA F Class.

The shooting went well, good scores were posted and good comraderie abounded! Plans are underway to expand the KD E Target range, dirt work will be done and more targets installed, I can see a full fledged KD Appleseed being held here in the future.

As usual, if you find yourself in our AO, want to shoot with some old hand Riflemen at KD or even the reduced AQT, give us a shout, we'll likely saddle up and meet you at the range!

Quinncannon, out.
