Title: Lincoln NE AAR Sep 21 and 22 2019

Sep 21 and 22, 2019 were scene to a successful, near capacity Project Appleseed shoot at the Lincoln Izaak Walton League. We are grateful for their ongoing support in hosting us.

We had an excellent group of freedom-minded attendees who conducted themselves in both a safe and attentive manner. Several of our shooters brought above average marksmanship skills and demonstrated their ability to hold 4MOA groups with aplomb. In addition we had at least one shooter who had never fired a rifle before and took to the instruction like a fish to water. In the end we qualified one new rifleman and had at least one re-qualification.

The story of April 19, 1775 was told, familiarizing the group with the hard choices our future countrymen (and women) made that day.

We had true Nebraska weather. The first day had above average temperatures along with the humidity that the southeastern part of the state is known for, along with that we had air that didn't seem to move at all.

The second day was cool and rainy at the beginning. This resulted in our getting off to a delayed start. It seemed like it was the coolest morning we had since the end of spring. That with the rain did put a dent in our attendance.

All in all the shoot was safe and successful. We had two new orange hats on the line. They took to their new roles as well as any. We were also very fortunate to have three red hats. The hats on the line proved the old adage that many hands make for light work. I am sure I would have been the envy of many a shoot boss.

As always we are definitely looking forward to coming back here in 2020.
