Title: New Philadelphia, OH AAR September 21-22, 2019
Post by: EZ3 on September 26, 2019, 09:16:29 PM
It was a beautiful weekend at Tusco Rifle Club, and we're grateful to them for hosting us.  The Club also provided lunch both days, which was very convenient.  This is an outstanding facility with accommodations for a variety of shooting sports, and a few other events were running concurrently with Project Appleseed.

The students were receptive to the Points Of Instruction and made progress in their marksmanship through the weekend, some overcoming various equipment challenges to do so.  BamaFan7 was impressive in clearing both Redcoats and posting a 235 on the AQT we shot Saturday afternoon.

Sunday morning began with both BamaFan7 and DeltaDawg clearing their Redcoats, and then we waded into the "AQT grind".  Although a couple of students came close, the only one to shoot a qualifying score on the ten AQTs fired was BamaFan7, with a high score of 246.  DeltaDawg and Caleb broke out some centerfire rifles to put KD theory into practice at 200 & 300 yards in the afternoon.  Kudos to them for driving all the way from Indiana to share the weekend with us.

In summary, if you haven't attended an Appleseed at New Philly yet, what the heck are you waiting for?   ;D

Thank you to our instructors and attendees for another successful Appleseed at Tusco Rifle Club. It was a wonderful weekend of heritage and marksmanship.
