Title: Shooting KD on Independence Day
Post by: Quinncannon on July 04, 2019, 06:38:43 PM
Happy Independence Day! I have been waiting all week for this day, looking forward to some KD! This morning, after reading the Declaration of Independence, I loaded the truck and made the drive to the Vets Shooting Center for some rifle practice and KD AQT's, can you say, Huzzah!? :F

I met four other experienced Appleseeders, who are Rifleman qualified and are also KD qualifie
d or are High Power competitors or both!
We decided to work on positions that some felt they were a little weak on, after that, we started on KD AQT's.

I can say without a doubt, each of these men, know very well what they are about, and put rounds through the black more often than not, from 100 to 400 yards. The rifle handling was done well and safely, everything ran in the Appleseed way of doing things.

I can't think of a better way to spend Independence Day than shooting battle rifles on KD and speaking of liberty! Rifles used today were one M14, one M1, three AR15's(Mouse Rifles) ;D

As usual, we invite anyone who would like to shoot some KD or even the reduced course, with some old hand Appleseeders, to give us a shout, we'll likely saddle up and meet you at the range!

Quinncannon, out.

PS, my 400 yard target, shot with a scoped M14, ammo, Radway Green, surplus FMJ's.
