Rain, rain, go away; come again another day………….well, it worked on Saturday but Sunday became the other day! We started out Saturday with two shooters, Mike and William, and six instructors. The first Redcoat saw very promising results. After presenting Steady Hold Factors, 6 Steps and NPOA, the square targets were posted.

Mike was having issues with getting his scope adjusted properly and that got him a bit frustrated. We finally got it close enough to get his POI and POA to a workable setting.

William ended the day with a very nice 198 on the second AQT of the afternoon.
9mm4545 and Rambo Granny both were shooting to their usual high standards throughout the weekend. FLawyer, edree and TomM1thumb also had a chance to send rounds downrange.

Sunday afternoon rain ended things earlier than usual with some very heavy rain, lightning and thunder. We waited in the vehicles for the rain and lightning to end it but it lasted so long that it became evident that we weren't going to be able to continue. Even with the bad weather everyone seemed to have had a good experience and were committed to returning for another Appleseed later this year at the Flagler Gun & Archery Club here in Bunnell, Florida.

At least it was a warm rain, right? Saturday was actually "not too bad", at least until the rain stopped and the sun came out. "Steamy" doesn't begin to describe it. Considering the predictions, I think we were pretty lucky--until around 2:30 or 3:00 on Sunday. Thunder and Lightning, very very frightening!
Despite the small numbers it was an enjoyable weekend and I got to hang around some nice folks and shoot guns a bit. There are worse ways to spend a couple of days. Thanks for everyone who participated. Perhaps someone took a photo or two, at least until it got too wet for cameras?
