Title: KD practice at Vets Shooting Center 6 May 19
Post by: Quinncannon on May 06, 2019, 07:33:53 PM
What a fine day for KD in north central Arkansas! ArcEagle, started shooting groups at 100 with his trusty service rifle, while I zero'd mine. I had a long barreled match type AR15 and an LRB M14 to zero on the short range, after getting this accomplished, we moved on to the KD steel range, where the rubber meets the road!

Starting at the small steel target at 300, I don't think we had a single miss between us, nothing but ringing steel. On to the 400, results here were much the same. ArcEagle, also shot the six inch diamond target at 400 and hit it nearly everytime, with 15 hits out of 20, pretty darn good!

We decided to skip the 500 and went straight to 600, our come ups were spot on, resulting in hit after hit and ringing steel! With a combined ammo count at over 400 rounds, we thought it was ammunition well spent!

Shooting the reduced course is good training and a lot of fun, but delivering lead on steel on the KD range, takes it to another level, it's something we do quite often!

As usual, if you're in our AO, want to shoot some AQT's or KD, give us a shout, we'll likely saddle up and meet you at the range.
