It was a great weekend at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club! Despite temperatures barely climbing out of the 30s into the 40s, we had 8 dedicated Shooters brave the elements and really put their rifles to work and learn about our shared heritage as a nation - that Liberty is a prize that was expensive to attain, and we should be doing all we can to maintain and safeguard it for ourselves and all Posterity. :F
Saturday progressed somewhat slowly - I was even knocking off the rust of having not been a Shoot Boss in several months - and we only fired 198 rounds. We more than made up for it Sunday, however - with 11 AQTs in the bag by 2 pm - and 2 new Riflemen by the end of the weekend. By 3 everyone was tired, smiling, and running low on ammo.
Jason V. - 211
Jonathan W. - 220 & 221
All the other Shooters were doing great as well, with a couple folks consistently shooting in the 185-200 range that with a little more practice will be Riflemen in no time!
Congrats to all the Shooters, and a hearty Thank You to the Instructors for running a great event.
Post pictures if you got 'em!
