Title: AQT and one inch squares, cold 9 February 2019
Post by: Quinncannon on February 09, 2019, 04:22:51 PM
Another fine, cold day at the VETS Shooting Center in Bald Knob, Arkansas! I recently acquired a new White Oak Armament AR15 match upper receiver assembly, stainless 20 inch barrel, optics ready and mounted it on a Rock River A2 lower with Geissele SSA-E trigger. Then mounted a Vortex Viper PST 1x4 scope. I bought this mainly for High Power competition, which VETS will be hosting soon, Huzzahh! Of course, this rig will be awesome for the reduced AQT as well as the KDAQT.

I arrived at VETS this morning to 19 degrees with a very stiff wind from the north west, oh well, we Appleseeders don't mind a little cold or wind! I soon had some one inch squares posted. Shooting in prone, the rifle did not disappoint, hitting those squares with this rifle was not a chore at all, ten squares, five rounds each, all hits! Very promising! Took a little time to warm my trigger finger in between magazine reloading, no hurry at all. I then posted an AQT, shooting went well, scored a 242. I'll take it, I decided it was coffee time after that!

As always, if anyone is in our AO, and want to shoot with a couple of ol' Appleseeders, give us a shout, whether to just shoot with us, need a little assistance with the AQT or KDAQT, give us a yell, we're easy to get along with.

Quinncannon, out.
