Thank you Slippery Rock Sportsman's Club for hosting another wonderful Appleseed Weekend!
Six Patriots turned out to learn more about our Heritage and improve their marksmanship. They all were repeat Apleseeders who had shot score.
All but one,who was working out a new rifle, repeated shooting score.
It was a fun and fast paced weekend.
The day opened with some basic instruction. Since our shooters had previously attended at least one Appleseed, we didn't need to spend a great deal of time on the basics...
We moved into position pretty quickly...
It didn't take long for this group to start qualifying...
Honoring those who will follow our footsteps...
Some noteworthy accomplishments for the weekend:
Mark came, hoping to qualify, and maybe to clear a Redcoat. Mission accomplished. We shot 10 AQTs over the two days, and Mark qualified 10 for 10. Quite an accomplishment. He also took down a Redcoat or two.
Matt also wanted to take down a Redcoat, which he did.
Daniel wanted to qualify with a bolt-gun. He not only qualified, but he also took home a Distinguished Patch, shooting a 243 with that bolt-operated machine.
Thanks again, to all of our shooters, for making this a great weekend. And thanks to Slippery Rock for hosting our event.
Come on back, and bring your friends!
