Title: Port Townsend June 9/10 AAR
Post by: Kimber Custom on June 06, 2018, 07:21:02 PM
Weather is looking a little iffy for this weekend but maybe those nice days predicted for Monday & Tuesday will roll in a little sooner.

See you on the line Saturday morning.

I want to say again how impressed I was with the resolve, dedication and overall improvement I saw from each and every person on the line. The weather wasn't sure what it wanted to do all weekend, but that didn't seem to slow anyone down. Presenting patches to 3 new riflemen (2 of which this was their first event) was awesome. For all the other shooters, especially those that are knocking at the door to a patch, the importance of dry practice and overall body conditioning can not be stressed enough. Get down in each of the positions at home, mentally and physically condition your body and mind to accept and expect how each position feels. I expect that in time we will see more riflemen forged out of the shooters we had this weekend.

Thank you again to everyone for making this a successful and fun event. Remember that 7th step, spread the word. Come back with friends. Help us spread the message and stories of April 19, 1775, and the meaning of and importance of the liberties we all enjoy as Americans. I look forward to seeing you all out on the range again soon.

PS - If anyone does eventually come across my powered earmuffs (OD green with Will written on one side in silver sharpie just like these ->https://tinyurl.com/y762q9v2 (https://tinyurl.com/y762q9v2)), please send me a PM. I'd really like to not have to buy a new pair :)

Great to be in Port Townsend again. 3 Huzzah's to the Jefferson County Sportsmen's Association for being so supportive of Project Appleseed. Those big portable covers made a huge difference.

Congratulations to our 3 new riflemen.  ^:)^ I'm sorry the club doesn't allow pictures. I hope you all get someone to take your picture with your AQT's and your patch to share.

HUUUUUUUGGGEEEEEEEE improvement in groups on Sunday. I know we didn't shoot as many AQT's as 'normal' but I think the time we spent going over the fundamental's really paid off. A little dry practice and some stretching will certainly yield more Riflemen at future events.

We will be back in Port Townsend in August for a Ladyseed spread the word
