What a great weekend at Coshocton Gun Club for an Appleseed! There were 17 eager shooters that showed up Saturday morning for instruction. We had several family groups attending.

We started Saturday with a forecast for Thunderstorms and the morning briefing. After the safety briefing, rifles were brought to the line and the morning red coat was shot. We had great numbers to start with and 1 cleared redcoat. Huzzah Susan! After the redcoat, we started in on instruction. It rained on and off throughout the morning. But, just before lunch we began sighting in rifles and practicing the instruction. During lunch Texas T gave the 1st strike. After lunch Little Buddy gave a great IMC presentation and we were back to sighting in. Just as we were about to start practicing NPOA, transitions, and seated and standing positions the thunder and gray skies rolled in. We packed up and called it a day for shooting as we couldn't say for sure when it would be done. After packing up we moved into the clubhouse, presented the 2nd and 3rd strikes and demonstrated seated and standing positions. We called it a day after that with the possibility to practice positions with the demo rifle and the hopes for clear skies on Sunday.

Sunday started a little humid but sunny and no forecast for rain or thunderstorms. After the morning safety briefing and instruction review, rifles were brought to the line and the morning red coat was shot. Numbers improved from Saturday and there was 3 cleared redcoats! Huzzah Analyse, Dave and Art! After a quick sight in, NPOA was practiced with carding the sights and practice with new positions and transitions. We squeezed in a practice AQT just before lunch. Just after lunch Texas T gave a fantastic KD presentation and we got to the AQT grind. We had 3 new and 5 requalifying riflemen and women amongst us. Huzzah to all (listed below)! The day was finished with the redcoat and 2 cleared red coats! Huzzah to Christina and again to Art! Throughout the day we heard about some dangerous old men and women.

New:
Susan: 211 followed by the high score for the day 228
   Analyse: 212 followed by 213
Dave: 215 immediately followed by 222
Requalifiers:
   Bob: 221, followed by 218, 215, and 223
   Christina: 216 followed by 211
Art: 227 followed by 222 after changing rifles
   Larry: 214

Thank you to Coshocton Gun Club for graciously hosting us! Thank you to the instructor crew who make this possible, TexasT, Little Buddy, and SirBob. Congrats again to those who cleared the redcoat, requalified as riflemen and women and joined our ranks as riflemen and women. Keep practicing and hopefully we'll see back on the line again!

Huzzah, our streak is still alive, if Appleseed is at Coshocton, its going to rain.   ;D

Sounds like a great event even with the weather.  Great job all.

A great weekend, in spite of the rain, thunder and lightening. Thanks to all of the shooters who stuck it out.  O0
