Title: Rimersburg, PA: Sept. 23-24, 2017
Post by: Texas T on September 25, 2017, 09:41:10 PM
The weather was outstanding for the first event held at Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club this past weekend. While it got a little warm both days, it certainly beat a weekend of rain or cold.

Five sharpshooters were on-site bright and early Saturday morning, when we began the day with our safety brief. Shortly after, we shot the first Redcoat, and found that there was ample opportunity for improvement, as the best effective range was only 200 yards.

During the course of the weekend, a great deal of improvement was shown by everyone.

We set right into some instruction on the Steady-Hold Factors, the Six Steps and NPOA, then worked on several sighter targets...

Matt, keep up the effort. It will pay off. You'll find the mark and hit the score. Focus on your NPOA, your form looks great.

Daniel, you got so close. A little more and you'll pull yourself over the top.

Tom, it was great to have you join us. I hope that you can challenge more club members to join us next year.

Diane, if it weren't for all of the equipment issues, I think that you would have been close, if not actually hitting the elusive "210".

Mike, with all of your skills, I'd like to see you step up and take a hat. You have so much that you could share. If you decide that you'd like to take the formal step, let me know. You'll need to sign up for the forum, if you haven't already, and you can send me a message. I'll let you know what the next steps are.

Many thanks to Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club for hosting our event, and thanks to Ray for putting it together for us. Also, congrats for passing your PC for IIT4. Huzzah!!!   O0
