Our first event of the year at Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club turned out to be absolutely wonderful - great venue, attentive students, and warm, sunny weather (under a covered firing line) to boot! Over 20 students came to learn about rifle marksmanship fundamentals, as well as how marksmanship is in all of our cultural DNA.
Ranging from age 11 to well over 60, our students' skills improved immensely over the course of the two days. At the end of the event, two students achieved Rifleman status: Jon W. (multiple, high of 223) and Todd S. (multiple, high of 229). Several others were sniffing around that elusive 210 score, but with some DRYFIRE DRYFIRE DRYFIRE time, they'll be ready to own the AQT during their next event!
Many thanks to all students, and especially to our youth students, who made this an extremely safe event. I can't wait until September to see you on the line at Cavalier again!

Another great day at a great facility. Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club is a wonderful supportive host. Kudos to Evan and Kevin for their assistance with the shoot. You guys made it easier. We proved that the "grind" can really move along. 4 AQTs and a Redcoat in 2 hours and 16 minutes and that included clearing the line and casing rifles ~~:) ~~:). The shooters really got on board with the timing issues. And we also proved that I can do a thorough telling of the second strike in 40 minutes (when forced). ~~:) ;D
