HUZZAH! HUZZAH! HUZZAH!
Three cheers for the fine group of Americans who awoke and brought their kids to another great Central Ohio Appleseed!
We almost had to deal with the wrath of Mother Nature but instead she rolled to the south of us and we were left with a perfect weekend for an Appleseed (but really aren't all weekends perfect for an Appleseed, after all?)
When the story of the blockade of Boston was told our shooters grabbed their kit and 3 days biscuit and wanted to head east like their ancestors on the frontier did! The only thing that stopped them was the promise of more great history stories and plenty of hard-to-beat marksmanship instruction on this fine Patriots Day Weekend.
Jim showed up with his daughter, Natalie, and so did Ken with Wyatt in tow (and Grandma for a spell there). Everyone absorbed the fire hose spray like giant sponges and in the end Ken joined the ranks of the elite Rifleman with a 219!
Natalie made great strides toward a patch someday and we probably never saw such great shooting from a nine year old!
Wyatt looked like a real-life little green army man in the prone position and promised to dry-fire practice every night at home so he can get a patch next time.
Jim put everything he had into his center-fire rifle and although he couldn't quite hit the magic number he stayed around 200 all weekend! Persistence, Persistence, Persistence, my man!
We ended our weekend with a KD Redcoat and proved beyond a doubt that what we learned at 25M works to the Rifleman's Quarter Mile!

Sounds like a great event. If I hadn't been working on my SBIT 2, I might have made it over to your area.
