Title: Grand Island, NE Appleseed
Post by: Pine Ridge Puma on April 10, 2017, 01:32:35 PM
Grand Island has a very nice shooting complex, with a lot of area for multiple shooting events that can be conducted at the same time.  Project Appleseed was welcomed to their venue again and we appreciate the cooperation and help from the staff on site.  We had some returning shooters and a couple of new shooters and the weather cooperated for a real nice weekend of Revolutionary War history and shooting instruction and fun.  The clinic can boast about one requal and three new riflemen who proved their prowess with a long gun!!  Outstanding!  Thanks to two competent  blue hats (I have never had the luxury of assistance from their ranks before!!), State Coordinator SisaLee81, and ssgnod, and bakeneko, super red hat, for their help making this a successful and easy shoot.  Special thanks to the friends from the North Platte area for the great beef stroganoff (sp?) cooked on a Dutch Oven by master chef Matt H.  Delicious!!  Hope everyone made a safe trip home.  For those of us headed west, we ran in to a hurricane wind and rain downpours at intervals.  No hail though!!!!  Hope to see familiar faces at future shoots!

Big thanks to all the participants and volunteers who showed up and made this event happen!  And a HUGE thank you to Pine Ridge Puma for making the long haul out east to Shoot Boss for us!  I look forward to working with you again down the road!!
