We always talk about great groups of shooters in Virginia, but this event was really special.
Almost all of the 17 shooters were first time Appleseeders and every shooter took instruction to heart and progressed in skills.
The groups noticibly shrank from the first square to the second. There was very little distraction and we got a lot done.
We welcomed three new riflemen and one repeater. There were also quite a few just a couple of points off the 210 mark.
The redcoat scores trended upwards nicely. It's almost like this stuff works!
All those great history stories were the highlight and everyone learned about our heritage.
That is the real reason we were there and we made the most of it.
We usually are in Winterseed territory for the December events, but not this year.
Both mornings were chilly, but the frost burned off and mid-day warmed up to perfect shooting weather.

Let's add a few good folks to the list of Riflemen: Rick and Rocky a family that shoots together....can defend their block, at the very least. ;D
And one more for the list of Riflemen: Bryce
Feeling left out. Only there saturday. First time Rifleman on 4th event.

Missus Monkey has the pic of BD and me.
A little slow on the upload and we could never forget Brian for earning his rifleman patch. Excellent job this weekend. Way to persevere.
