Title: AAR: Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club - Nov 7-8
Post by: ThePoet on November 08, 2015, 07:00:30 PM
Despite wet and stormy weather, we had a great turnout at Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club this weekend.  It would have been very easy to stay home but 27 hearty shooters braved the elements to learn marksmanship and the story of April 19, 1775.  We really appreciate working with all of you and hope to see you on the line again very soon!

I'd like to congratulate our new Riflemen.  John shot a 229 on Saturday and followed it up with a string of Rifleman scores on Sunday.  Great job, John!  Congratulations to Keith (220, 228) and Joe (220) for shooting impressive Rifleman scores on Sunday.  Stacey came very close on Sunday with a 206 and kept trying to the very end.  She finished strong by clearing the final redcoat target.  Well done, Stacey!  We look forward to having you join us again.

The 2016 schedule for CRPC is still being sorted out, but it looks like our next event could be in February.  Check the schedule for more information: http://appleseedinfo.org/search-states-display.php?qstate=NC&statename=North%20Carolina  Also, keep in mind that we have a "Winterseed" scheduled for Boone on January 30-31.

Thanks again for a great event.  This was my first as a Shoot Boss.  I certainly learned a lot and appreciate your spending your weekend with us.  I hope to see you again soon.

Awesome event!!  A great bunch of shooters who wouldn't let the rain and a little chill keep them from learning some marksmanship, their Heritage as Americans, and setting off on the path to truly learning what they are about.

Congrats to all the new Riflemen!!
