Title: HAT CREEK MAY 23-24 AAR
Post by: NorCal22Gal on May 26, 2015, 11:16:55 PM
Well another wonderful Hat Creek event is in the books!!

5 folks came out on Saturday prepared to learn and absorb what we had to teach.

They showed it was sinking in too.  Nice groups, good positions.

We stopped for lunch and the telling of the 3 Strikes.

Back to work, and a few AQT's before the end of the day.  Some nice scores, including a 208, but no Rifleman scores that night.

After cleaning up, those who were shooting full distance the next day stayed and help set up the range so it would be ready to go on Sunday.

Sunday, only the 3 students shooting full distance came back out.  Ron and Erik, you were missed!!
We got right into teaching the mechanics of full distance shooting...then a quick break and on the line for a red coat and sighting in.

After lunch we were able to start the AQT's.  Hans showed right away that he knew very well what he was about with a 203.  He went on to score 3 more rifleman scores, 223, 205, and 214.  Pat shot a 200 and was baptized in the waters of the North Bridge!!  Joe, you are getting close!!

We ended the day with awarding of a rifleman patch to Pat (it's his first rifleman!) along with the rocker and strip that say Long Distance.  These two men know very well what they are about at any distance!

Clean up and tear down went quickly with Hans, Pat and Joe helping.  Thank you guys very much!!

Look forward to seeing you all at a future event.

A big thanks to eaglescouter and Scoutcamper for their help in putting this event on.  You Rock!!

See you all next month!
