Title: Columbia Falls, MT Feb 21st 2015 Winterseed
Post by: lumberjack55 on February 22, 2015, 01:52:01 PM
It was a sunny and warm 31 degrees that treated our shooters to a fine day of marksmanship and good company.  Winds variable 0-10 mph made 400 yard shots tough, but we none the less had two shooters earn the distinguished honor of KD Winterseed  Riflemen, congratulations Kaiser and Mike!  All shooters accounted well for themselves, learning a great deal about the dope for their rifles, ammo, sights, and themselves in the challenges of shooting in the cold of the Montana winter.  Hiking back and forth to the 400 yard target line did not seem to cause undue distress, but rather was an opportunity for discussion of all things shooting and rifle marksmanship.  As all in attendance were prior Appleseeders, the history discussion was permitted to go deeper into the post-April 19th events, including Washington's crossing of the Deleware river and battles of Trenton and Princeton.
Many thanks to the shooters who traveled from far and wide to attend and make this, 1st annual Montana Winterseed, a success.  Hope to see you at an April 19th shoot soon!

Feel free to post pics here or email them to me.
