Title: Monticello

Just got a call from Chris Heikkila questioning me about Appleseed and a potential March use of their clubhouse. (Monticello) Are you planning on an Instructors boot camp or are you looking for a range for an event?  He will need to know to present it to his board.
He knew I was involved before, and had some questions. Apparently he got a letter (email?) from an IIT from Paynesville about using the clubhouse.
My response...Don't ever let those clowns near your range! Just kidding folks.

Anyway, I filled him in on protocols, how safety is #1, fundamentals of marksmanship, etc., etc. Chris is a good friend, and he thinks it would be awesome for AS to come to Monticello. I think his word goes a long way, though he is not on the board. YET! He does manage the 3 gun league and memberships now.

Please contact him again to clarify your needs, be it just the clubhouse for a boot camp, or a range also. You might want to try to get them some information as to hosting an event now. Most clubs are setting their schedules for the coming season.

To contact me....sparks1775@gmail.com >>>>>BEST WAY TO GET MY ATTENTION.

He will keep me informed as to progress.

Good day!  We are going to the Rochester club's meeting this week to ask for an IBC on 7-8 March.  Perhaps we should schedule them up for the 2016 IBC?

Thanks

This is my club.  Heard about this at the meeting after the meeting last week.  Club seems pretty open to the idea.  I have some pull on the board here.  A close ally was just elected VP.  Just to clarify to others reading, this is Monticello Rod and Gun near the Nuke plant, not the other club on TH 25.

Chris is a good man, and we have a lot of spray and pray AR shooters that could certainly benefit from an AS.  Let me know what I can do from the inside.  Recruitment for a shooting event will be much easier once trap season and 3 gun league starts.

They are very concerned about insurance and liability, so make sure to have all the appropriate documentation ready if you make a pitch.

Sounds like we have our BOTG!   O0

After reading the AAR about Slim, Techres, and others elsewhere, I am going to recommend to Chris that they not host an AS. Too much secrecy in financials and the captain of the ship to recommend people wasting their time and energy.  That and promises not kept, time and time again.
Too bad...many are being mislead.

FYI... once a non-profit closes, no funds may be transferred except to another non-profit. Though salaries may be paid to officers of said non-profit, which may go back through the years. AS has 3 board members, and range improvements (Ramseur) will be in place.  I am sure an attorney will find a way to circumvent most these issues.

Good luck.

Integrity is easier to keep, than to regain.

Good day Sparks!

I know that the organization is moving through a time of challenge.  All great movements have had to deal with significant change, disagreement, and difficulty.  We, like many before us, need to keep our faith in the greater mission.  The Minnesota team is a group of great people that believe in the mission of helping to regain our nation.  While we have our own internal difficulties, we continue to survive, adapt, and overcome.

I ask humbly, that you consider continuing to encourage Monticello to support the AS mission.  While the larger program has many things to figure out, the good folks of our region would still like to continue pushing forward and onward.  Thank you for your consideration.

I have re-considered my stance on Monticello.  I WILL NOT discourage the club from hosting an event, nor any other range.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for my fellow cadre of instructors in AS. There are no finer, dedicated Americans that I know, outside of the military, in particular the SF community.  I will not besmirch their efforts in their attempt to retake our heritage. I salute you.

Good luck in your efforts...I believe I am finished here for voicing my opinion on matters. Odd...how our forefathers fought and died for liberty and yet it is the exercise of one that will get me the boot. I trust you all will think about this in your future endeavors.

Best to all of you.

Sparks,

If you ever want to instruct at an event where you will not be driven in to the ground and held captive until dark o clock,  come to Wisconsin.

Good to see you are still with us buddy.  We had some good shoots together and you were a real asset  to the shoot.  We want you back in the saddle.

Sparks,

You are also welcome at the IBC March 7-8 in Rochester. It would be an honor to shake hands and put a face to the name. Even if you only had a limited time available that weekend and could pop in for part of a day, you would be most welcome.

I've dialed it back a bit - can't afford to feed the spotlights.... ^-^

Won't make the IBC Morpheus. A tad busy with other project.
