Title: Saugerties, NY - Sept. 6 & 7, 2014
Post by: Another D.O.M. on September 08, 2014, 02:56:34 PM
The Saugerties Fish & Game Club was host to New York's second-ever LadySeed event on Sept. 6 & 7.

Turnout was low, but those who did attend arrived ready to learn, to practice and to improve.

And since this was a LadySeed and circumstances demanded that the Shoot Boss be a man, I'll stop right here and let the ladies fill in the rest of the details.

Thanks to all for your attendance and your dedication!

What a GREAT weekend!!  As ADOM mentioned, it was a low turn out weekend, but that allowed for allot of individual instruction!! ^:)^

Saturday was sultry at best, high heat and humidity, but our three intrepid ladies put in their very best efforts and it showed!!  Scores improved significantly throughout the day and weekend.

Over the course of the weekend, the Three Strikes were shared, but something extra was also included...stories of the dedicated ladies of the Revolution who serves in many unconventional ways and made more than a token assist to our eventual victory.  Want to know what these services and sacrifices were?  Well come to the next NYS Ladyseed and you learn all about it!! ;)

Sunday broke with fog in the air.  A cold front had come through during the night, so the weather conditions were very different on Sunday, but that did not in any way lessen the efforts of our ladies.  Still focused and ready to practice their newly acquired skills, they got down to it.  Two shooter returned on Sunday, one brand new to the program and the other with one previous experience with us about 6 weeks ago.  Questions were asked and answered, skills were worked on and improved.  It was a great day.

I want to thank Saugerties Fish and Game for hosting this event, as well as ADOM for taking up the mantle to shoot boss for us.  Kris thanks for all your help, as well as History Buff for coming and showing your dedication to this special aspect of Project Appleseed.

Ladies I hope to see you all again on the trail, it was truly a pleasure.

A big thank you to everyone who made this Ladyseed a wonderful experience.

Learning to run the line was made easier with a small group and will prepare me for upcoming Appleseeds.
And remember practice breathing. In, out, FIRE.
