Title: Rotterdam, NY - July 19 & 20, 2014
Post by: Another D.O.M. on July 21, 2014, 05:52:13 PM
This was, without a doubt, one of the nicest Appleseed weekends I've attended this year.  The weather was just about perfect, and the fine Americans who attended to learn marksmanship and history are outstanding folks!

We had the typical mix of folks, including three return Appleseeders and five first-timers.

As always, much thanks to the host club, Iroquois Rod & Gun Club.  And thanks also to the instructors who gave up a part of their weekend to help their fellow Americans gain new skills, new insights, and a better appreciation of the sacrifices made on our behalf by the folks in our history stories.

Mostly, I'd like to thank our students.  We cannot run Appleseeds without you.  Your enthusiasm, your commitment, your perseverance and your high spirits make it a lot of fun!

A perfect weather weekend, that's great! Know a couple of the returning students. They are enthusiastic about the Appleseed program. Looking forward to talking with them at our home range.

A great weekend to be an American....well aren't they all!!

An attentive and enthusiastic group of shooters at a gracious venue.  And the weather?  You rarely see it's equal.

As you always see at Appleseed events, folks were challenged to learn new ways of doing things, as well as a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information that was shared with them.  But every person rose to the occasion.  Who could ask for more!!

A big thank you to Iroquois R&G Club, to our Shoot Boss: ADOM, Instructors: Dude and Little Mo, and a giant thank you to our stalwart students.  Without any of the aforementioned none of this could happen.

Keep practicing and it WILL come.

As previously mentioned, the weather was great. What would be better than great weather? Fantastic students, with five first time Appleseeders! New skills learned, new positions, tighter shot groups by all. And they all saw the proof when they compared their Saturday morning Red Coat targets to Sunday afternoon's Red Coat targets which showed great improvement! All students were fantastic and it was my honor to be one of their instructors! Keep practicing and we'll see you again soon at another Project Appleseed event!
