Wow, what a great crew!  Any time half the shooters on the line shoot Rifleman, you know it was a great weekend!   ^:)^  Oh, and there was good weather to boot!  Wizard was taking credit for bringing the good weather.  Maybe he's right, however we got it I won't argue with 50 and sunny!  Great company all around and it just goes to show that you'll find some of the best people in this country at an Appleseed weekend!   O0

Chris, Eric, Evan, Hunter, congratulations and great shooting!  Christian, Parker, you both made great improvement and I'm sure will soon be needing patches of your own!  Gerald, enjoyed having you on the line, just nail down your NPOA for stage four and you'll be there!  Dave, you've already shown perseverance to make it to your first event, looking forward to having you back and keep at it!

Some say that  :pics:  Downloading pics from the camera, will have them up in the morning...

It was a great time. It was great to actually get to an event and assess what I'm doing wrong. Thanks to you, Miki, Grindstone, and certainly not least Wizard. Definately getting to another event this summer, hopefully with a buddy.

What a great weekend. I want to thank all of our shooters for showing up well prepared and ready to learn. It makes for a fast paced and productive weekend for all of us. It was great to see so many young gentlemen/gangsters that know how to handle a rifle and yet are still willing to learn more. I expect to see All of you again. I am posting more photos soon, so check back later.(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0095_zps4e496490.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0095_zps4e496490.jpg.html)(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0094_zpsf2cb18ba.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0094_zpsf2cb18ba.jpg.html)(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0092_zpsac067070.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0092_zpsac067070.jpg.html)(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0091_zpse762d4dc.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0091_zpse762d4dc.jpg.html)(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0090_zps8b8fb83b.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0090_zps8b8fb83b.jpg.html)(http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b491/tinsoldier1000/DSCN0089_zps20831be2.jpg) (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tinsoldier1000/media/DSCN0089_zps20831be2.jpg.html)

Amazing how a cut down stock and 16" barrel looks totally normal on a youth shooter.

Switching to the phone camera backup!   ..:..

George provides us with a great anachronistic photo opportunity (ok, he's also a smallbore instructor, but I love snapping these pics when I can)

Great timing on that photo.  Just the priming has gone off.  You can see the top of the cocks' screw sticking out of the flash from the pan.

I just hate it when I forget to change my glasses before the demonstration, and then they take pictures of it.  At least they don't have pictures of me walking around with my travel mug in my hand (this time).

What a fun weekend. When was the last time ALL the shooters showed up squared away and were all checked in by 8:05?!? I knew right then and there I was in for an awesome weekend and was not disappointed. We worked these guys hard and they were all up to the challenge. Shezzz...late Sunday the youngsters were still running down range to check targets.

Congrats to our four new riflemen! To the rest of you...you WILL get there. Christian, take that notebook to the range with you so you remember what to do.

You are all amazing Americans and it was my honor to spend the weekend with you.

Tbear, thanks for posting. Anyone else want to chime in? Good or bad, we want to know your thoughts. That's how we make this program better.

And lastly a huge thanks to Lapeer County Sportsman's Club for hosting us and to George for not only bring out his musket but also, for joining in our fun shoot. You rock Roundballer!
