Title: Club / Range Contacts - Looking for a few good volunteers!
Post by: ColonialIron on March 26, 2014, 06:05:32 PM
Good day All!

I am looking for a few good volunteers  :sos: to approach new ranges in Goodhue and Blue Earth counties for an AS!   We don't need them all (yet) but just 1 in each county would be a good start!

Goodhue County Ranges:
Cannon Falls Sportsmen's Club
Hidden Valley Game Birds, Inc.
Kenyon Sportsmen's Club
North Star Rifle Club
Orlando Game Farm
Pheasant View Hunt Farm
Pine Island White Pines Sportsmen's Club
Red Wing Sportsman's Club
Wanamingo Sportsmen's Club, Inc.
Zumbro Valley Rifle Club

Blue Earth
Key Cities Conservation Club
Redlead Sportman Club

Any takers open to make a couple of calls/contacts?

Thanks!

I am the member/ Range contact for Pine Island  PIWPSC -- looks like I need more member support/ involvement

Dodge Center Sportsman's Club,-- 20$/ year membership.  looking to check out this week

Zumbro Valley Rifle Club -- Looked at and met members / May 13 7pm present to Board.

Are there any Appleseed alumni from Blue Earth county?
We need to work on the Wells/ Austin / Albert lea area and get some orange hats there.

Key Cities is small it was looked at earlier as I am a member, locally St James range is larger and longer I don't have a contact their it's also a smaller venue town wise, Faribault has a better and longer rifle range I scoped it out a couple years ago and I sent a e mail and didn't get a reply, they had pistol pits and long range rifle ranges available it's a nice set up to go long maybe worth another shot.

Sometimes it takes more than just an email.

Years ago, I sent a sorta press release stating that we were looking for ranges.

I went off of the DNR's range listing - I sent it to every email contact listed.
Didn't get a single reply.

IIRC,   Martin may have contacted Red Wing.  He's right there, PM him.
