Nero,

I was thinking the same thing - Siege Engines 101 or AQTs at a 1000 paces.

Been working on trebuchets with my daughter.  We've built two so far.  First one was for tennis balls, good for about 100 feet.  We're finishing up the second one now, threw a 5 lb pumpkin 276 feet on our first day of testing.  I knew we were doing something right when I asked my 11 year old nephew (who catches snakes in his spare time) if he wanted to fire it.   He stared at it for about 30 seconds and then asked if it was safe.
