We have much to do before April, 19 2014. We just completed out last Appleseed of 2013 in Maine and made two new Riflemen who earned well deserved Winterseed patches.
We can't afford to hibernate for four months. We need to preserve and enhance our skills, update equipment and improve our fitness and flexibility. Practice positions. Practice dry firing. Practice live shooting when practical. We do have warm sunny days during Maine winters.
We can have Libertyseeds. IITs can practice their history presentations. Practice on your family. We all need to progress. We need to make 2014 the best ever in Maine. This year our governor issued a Proclamation designating April as Patriot History and Heritage Recognition Month. I hope to see that repeated in 2014.
We need more ranges. We need a good KD range. I'm willing to go anywhere to meet with a club to establish a new DAR which is a Designated Appleseed Range.
