It was a great two days at the range, celebrating Liberty! We had three shooters, one family. They brought two new rifles, but they were not new shooters. With great determination and attentive attitudes, they received the instruction and applied it. I slowed the pace a little, but by Sunday afternoon we were shooting timed full AQT's with very respectable scores. The highest was a 193! I think they will be back...
The history was very well received, and the message to our generation was readily understood. They have been spreading the word and encouraging their friends to "get up off the couch!" We are hoping for more shooters on the line next time around.
We did a reduced round count until Sunday noon. That seemed to work well, but there is still no substitute for a few full boat AQT's. We saw tremendous progress once the time monkey and scoring were introduced.
