Title: 2013 - Battle Road IBC - June 1-2, 2013
Post by: Ninsho on May 06, 2013, 07:22:13 AM
I'm working on finalizing the details and getting the EIP and registration link up but we're planning on holding another Battle Road IBC here in New England on June 1st and 2nd 2013!  Saturday will cover marksmanship as usual and probably in Pelham, NH where we have access to a nice large clubhouse and Sunday will be spent at various spots where events actually happened on April 19th!

Subscribe to this thread to see more info as I have it, and post here if you think you can go.

This is an FYI for those who plan to attend.

It would be good to have a copy of the instructor's manual and  a notebook for day one. There's a LOT of information presented and gone over. It's good to have the manual for referral purposes in general.

For Sunday, a copy of Paul Revere's Ride by David Hackett Fischer is another good thing to have. Nickle, an MI, has stated in the past that "You will be taught how to teach the history/heritage at an IBC". You should already have some of it down before the event. The notes and other info here on the forum are good, but they are also based on the book. Try to get a copy and read thru the areas that pertain to what is taught at an Appleseed.

I strongly agree that the manual and Paul Revere's Ride are good things to bring, I would also strongly encourage you to check out Fred's guideposts and print and bring those as well: https://appleseedinfo.org/tips/strikes-and-dom.php

If you haven't signed up for this one I would do it ASAP, going to send some emails out in the next day or two and you don't want to get them late!
