2013 Patriots Day Appleseed in Las Vegas.

New and old faces gathered at the Clark County Shooting Park.

19 students assembled to share an journey into Rifle Marksmanship and their American Heritage.

Two and three generations of families were on the line.

Fathers shooting next sons. Friends shooting next to friends.

The Fundamentals of Rifle Marksmanship were taught.

The Heritage was shared.

Groups shrunk.

Red Coats, Squares, AQT's were targeted by ever improving Rifle Fire.

The Liberty Volley was performed in remembrance of the sacrifices made April 19th 1775.

Our 14th name was Chris Kyle. A true American Rifleman.

The Saturday afternoon training was interrupted by a Large Dust Devil that tore through the range. The whirlwind was between 45 to 60 mph and flipped mats, swirled everything not tied down and lasted a good two minutes. Order was soon restored and training continued.

Sunday

The persistence began in earnest.

After a review of Marksmanship fundamentals, The AQT challenge began.

After the dust settled.

Three men stepped forward and demonstrated that they knew what they were about and earned the coveted Rifleman's Patch.

Congrats to Cameron, Jim, and Nate

We had the pleasure of sharing the weekend with four outstanding young men. Sam, Andrew, Charlie, and Samuel persisted and earned their Luther Blanchard patches.

A weekend spent in the company of Riflemen is restorative to the soul.
