We had a great Winterseed! Temps started out a balmy 9 degrees, warming up in the mid-afternoon to a stifling 23 degrees ( :)), with light snow showers adding to the several inches already on the ground. Nine hardy shooters showed up dressed for the conditions and ready to shoot; nary a word was said about the weather - great attitude by all!
After a furious Saturday morning of instruction, demo, and practice, we settled into AQTs in the afternoon. During breaks we all retreated to the warmth of the woodstove-fired Enfield Outing Club clubhouse, where we heard the history of April 19th 1775.
Everyone got a chance to try out instructing during the Ball & Dummy drill. Two shooters earned their Winterseed patch, while several came ohh so close!
Sunday was KD day. We started the morning with a classroom session, then re-set up the range to shoot at the (almost) 100 yard limit of the range. We all got to see that this stuff really works at distance!
All enjoyed themselves - one shooter commented at the end, wearing a big grin: "I had a blast!" Thanks to the Enfield Outing Club for a being such a great host.
Most of all thank you to all who came - it was a pleasure instructing you.
