With temps in the 50s...... yes the 50's... and beautiful sunshine we started our first Appleseed of 2013. Five shooters on the line and five instructors our God given rights were exercised this good day!
Of course the 50's didn't last. (in Wisconsin who'd a thunk it!!!) We have a saying around here that if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes!
After we shoveled about 6 inches of wet slushy snow off of the firing line and set up the target line, we got to work hammering out the rifleman on the anvil of the AQT. All of our attendees have been to an AS before so we were able to make great time in getting to our 1st AQT.
Pretty soon the path to the equip. line was water with ice underneath and the temps were doping fast. the wind was picking up and the clouds were moving in.
By the time we were done the temps had dropped nearly 25 degrees.
