Just listened to a good interview with a very intelligent spokesman for RKBA .
He is Richard Pearson executive director of the ISRA .
According to RP ,Cook county is putting a $25 transfer tax on all guns sold in Cook county . The irony here is that the money is going to a wing of the anti gun Brady group.

The largest gun shop that I am aware of (stocks as many as 3000) is in an adjacent county to Cook - they are doubling their size - there will be no additional revenue for the county, it will just drive more, of the already negligible, business to the collar counties

Then they'll want to implement it state-wide to stop that.
That's exactly what happened in MN when the metro areas made smoking bans.
The unfortunate part was half of the bars/etc. that were against it in their counties switched sides in the subsequent state-wide ban. All so they could keep their own pennies...
