Title: Border-raiding opportunity in Niles MI
Post by: SteelThunder on October 16, 2012, 10:06:37 AM
IN Instructor Cadre

"Be careful what you ask for" is the tag line of the Niles October 20-21 shoot (just 5 miles north of South Bend IN).  We've hit the promotions trail pretty hard...and sold out over a week ago (26 shooters).  In the mean time, we have a minimum of 12 "confirmed" (whatever that means) walk-ons that are intending to come.  Could this be the largest shoot Michigan has ever hosted?

Niles is a great club, however, the firing lines are narrow pistol bays.  We're set up to use 2 with a capacity of 26.  As you can see from the numbers of pre-reg/walk-on shooters, we will be squeezing in the 2 lines and are on the hairy edge of running 3.  We have 4 red hats + me with no IITs yet.  We can technically run 3 and I'm not in the business of turning away patriotic Americans from a life-changing weekend, but I'd also like to make sure we maintain our high quality, "get down and dirty", 1-on-1 instruction.

I realize you have a few other shoots going on this weekend, however, here's a great opportunity...especially for IITs...to help out in great environment if you're available.  Think...we're sold out and now busting at the seams!  How often does that happen?

Thanks.  Let me know if you can make it.  Remember...Pitmaster is offering a BBQ lunch both days!  And we'll have KD over at the 200 yd range!  And I'm buying Halloween candy!

This will indeed be the largest-ever event in Michigan.  Heading towards 40 shooters on three lines.  Right now, only 5 instructors signed up .  All Red Hats - a great mentoring/learning opportunity for any IIT!

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!
