What does an Appleseed instructor do on one of his few weekends off? Go coach the Georgia State 4H BB competition of course.

Saturday I helped coach the Dade County 4H BB Team 1 at the State Championships at Rock Eagle. The firing line had 110 positions with 7 relays for 4 positions (prone, standing, sitting and kneeling). There were nearly 800 kids there shooting BB guns. Most of the counties represented don't have a .22 sporter/rimfire team for these kids to graduate to for further instruction.

This should be a natural audience for Appleseed. The top shooters were incredible. The top score in prone was 100/100. The top STANDING score was 95/100.  The top counties were Coffee, Tift and Crisp, are in South Georgia where we don't even have a regularly scheduled shoot.

I approached a couple of the top county coaches and mentioned Appleseed. I will follow up with more email this week and I may try to set up a shoot in South Georgia if they're interested. If they buy in they will find a range for us to use.

If anyone has suggestions on this let me know.
