Title: Coming to Alaska in December
Post by: ItsanSKS on November 04, 2011, 10:42:36 PM
Just finalized my plane ticket.  Will be heading to Alaska on December 5th, with an arrival time of 5pm.  Will be there for exactly one week, and would like to touch base with everyone that I met up there in July.

Would also like to start planning a large get-together/BBQ for that weekend.

Also looking for a place to stay- hotels seemed ridiculously expensive when I was up there last, but I haven't checked recently.  If you know of a reasonable place, let me know.  Planning on staying in/around the Anchorage area.

We've got a month to get things planned out, so lets get started!

Time is drawing near, and plans seem to be falling apart.  As noted, I already have my plane ticket, with an ETA of 4:00pm in Anchorage.

Rental vehicles look to be outrageous, costing nearly $500 for the week.  I had previously planned on purchasing a vehicle once 'in country', but watching the prices on these, they too are out of reach for the moment.

I've already secured accommodations, now just need a vehicle.  Prefer a truck, but I'm not picky...  You will be well compensated for the use of your vehicle, and I promise to leave more gas in it than when I get it.

If you, or someone you know has a vehicle that could be borrowed for the week, please let me know.

I can be reached via email: RWVA@Live.com or by phone: (813)335-3114

Thanks,

Huzzah! Eric is on his way to becoming an Alaskan!
(If y'all are really lucky, he might post some of the amazing pictures he took on this last adventure up here!)

I can't wait to hear how the next Chugiak AS goes. :)
