Great job! O0 Every radio interview helps....
The price was right, and the show is broadcast on one of the big local stations.

I don't know. How hard was it, D-fly?
And what can you tell others, as to how
they can get on the radio for an interview?
It was really easy to set up. I know one of the co-host of the show. I just offered an interview and that was it. I've Googled local outdoor radio shows and have a list of about 10 that I'm going to be contacting. Most of these shows are thirsty for local content.
Radio interviews are really easy to do, they called me at home. What could be easier then that?
Well, most of you that know me know I am not a public speaker, and this was one of the most difficult things I have ever done, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I owe this to my 4 year old Grand daughter, and I owe this to this nations founders. It is how I find the strength to do what I do.
POSTERITY ;)
So, I encourage everyone to google search local talk shows. Send emails, and letter's, call them on the phone and offer an interview. Try and schedule 2 weeks prior to a local Appleseed. Its easy ;) , free, and you can probably do it from home on the phone. And you get to be on the radio O0 Oh, and I will be doing this to promote Library seeds as well O0 .

Wait a minute! Did you say it was "easy", "cheap" - and "free"?
And that you didn't even leave your home? (Or workplace?)
And that possibly hundreds or thousands of people heard your message?
And that it helped "get the word out" about the program?

(BTW, I suggest that this be done only by Red Hat and above, as you'll be able to interject bits of the history as you speak. Maybe an IIT4 could handle it and, in rare instances, some really well-experienced in public-speaking and talking-to-the-media IIT0 to 3.)
