Looks like I'm going to be stuck in NC for work for 2 weeks from Oct 11th through the 21st. I was hoping to experience one of the legendary (in the Northeast, with all our short ranges) full-distance steel AQTs, but it looks like nothing's scheduled.
If anyone's going to be around and has a rifle, please shoot me a PM. I'd much rather go shooting with another ASer than sit on my butt in a hotel in Raleigh for the weekend.

Check the topic "Home Range Events" above. There will be a pumpkin shoot that weekend. If you get with the guys there and bring some ammo and a pumpkin you should be able to do some shooting. Though the shoots at Ramseur are not "Steel" AQT's. AQT's are shot on D-Targets. The field shoots use surplus pop-ups and can be a real challenge.
Make sure that you talk to the guys there (Wildman, Hawkeye, 7.62BBQ etc) before buying ammo for a particular gun. Specifically don't buy commercial .30/06 and then try to shoot it in someones M1.

Ahh...separate listing in the Events section...missed it.
Thank you!
MetalgodZ, next time you see Jericho, VT pop up on the Instructor Schedule, get signed up to work it. You will still be able to shoot KD, and might even get a 600 yard group in (if we can).
The next one that I'm not working or keeping Goodpiper's Leyden shoots staffed, I will.
