I've constructed a e-mail to my local gun club, about hosting a Appleseed. My question, Is their a guide, form or suggestions that I can compare the letter to or I can post the main body of it and let you guys check it over.

Please be sure to tell us something about the range/club, and how you see Appleseed helping the club, whether it be increased revenue from range fees, increased daily attendance, or an increase in memberships, the range/clubs I've worked with all love the fact that we bring more people to their facility, and they have to do relatively little to facilitate it.

Thanks, it's a members only club and they have a outside range that's near 2 churches, so they don't open till 1pm on Sunday. So here it is.
The reason I'm sending this e-mail is to ask if you have ever considered hosting a Project Appleseed event. For those that have never heard of Project Appleseed, it is an activity dedicated to teaching every American our shared heritage and history as well as traditional rifle marksmanship skills. The Appleseed Instructors will travel anywhere in the nation, bringing the proven Appleseed course, as a complete, self-contained package, to your range, so that you and your neighbors can experience Appleseed in your back yard. I will provide a link below for more details on their home page.
It is a all weekend event that combines History and Heritage with the combination of a Marksmanship Clinic. I know that you don't open on Sunday until 1pm. I contacted a Appleseed instructor about this, his reply was, they could come in Sunday morning and do the History and Heritage and instruction class and then do the Marksmanship Clinic when the range opens. They also have 1 day mini events.
Some reasons you might want to host this event are:
1- You can charge a modest range fee, maybe $5 a day, for non-members and collect additional revenue.
2- It's a good way to invite the public to your club and you may get new members.
3- It's a no cost or small cost for obtaining cardboard backers, to the club. They provide, The proven Appleseed Course, RWVA Certified Instructors, Targets and Course Materials, National/Regional Promotions and there own liability insurance.
4- They provide a substantial discount over the normal fee for Women and kids, to promote a fun Family weekend event.
5- Active Military, Reserve, National Guard, Government Officials, and Peace Officers get to participate for FREE!

I want to thank you for reading this e-mail and feel free to forward it to the Executive Committee and Club members. I hope that this may spark enough interest to maybe hold a vote at a future meeting. I can also contact a instructor, to come and give a presentation at a club meeting.
For further information to send them...look at the Minnesota state page. Puma Mami has compiled a nice range information handout. I use it when contacting a new range. It gives them alot of information to look over AND it is in their hands for the board to look at. (Kind of hard to ignore AS when it is more than an email.)

I brought Appleseed to the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club in Charlotte, as both a member of the club and an Appleseed IIT. If I were not a member of the club, and if I had not had the strong backing of a Board member of the club as well, it would not have happened. I would recommend getting a club member to be the sponsor of your AS effort. Bring a member to an AS if necessary. We also ran a free one day mini AS for club members only as a demo event that helped convince the club to host AS.
