Meanstreaker's Google Map of Appleseed Locations is:
"National Map of Appleseed Sites" (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=107205457411595070370.0004670c19bef130c16b7&z=4)
The bookmark is http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=107205457411595070370.0004670c19bef130c16b7&z=4
I happen to use http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=107205457411595070370.0004670c19bef130c16b7&ll=38.281313,-81.397705&z=7 which centers the map on WV.
This is the click-able URL:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=107205457411595070370.0004670c19bef130c16b7&ll=38.281313,-81.397705&z=7
If you want to change the URL in your bookmarks so that the map centers on a particular location and at a zoom of your choosing, do the following:
(1) Find the location on the Google Map that you want to use as your center. Right click (or whatever is appropriate) and choose "What's Here?" from the pop-up menu. The GPS coordinates for that location should appear in the "Search Maps" text box. Those numbers get pasted after &ll= in the teal section above.
(2) Pick a zoom parameter (&z). Something near seven should be about right, such as &z=7. The black part of the URL at the end.
Thanks this is very helpful to know how to do this manually! Typically I just zoom to where I want the map and then choose the Link feature on the upper right.
