FYI the this month's issue of Back Woods Home Magazine has been released and should be in bookstores and magazine stores
across the country. In case you have not checked your own subscription issue this month or are just receiving it I am proud to
share that our full half page advertisement is there for all to see and read. Back Woods Home Magazine is very thankful
to all who have subscribed to their publication and expressed delight that they were able to do this for our program.
I am sure if anyone out there has not taken a subscription it would be a meaningful thing to do for such a friend to us.
Thanks again to Spitstickler for playing such a key role.. FYI a little more than 100,000 magazines will be owned across
America providing Project Appleseed with have such wide exposure. Do keep a sharp ear out to learn who attended a shoot

I've been behind the curve getting signed up with BWH.
I will subscribe online today.
Additionally, on page 6 of the Mar/Apr Issue, the editor, Anne Tuttle, includes a nice little, seven paragraph write-up of information about Appleseed entitled "The Appleseed connection". In it she talks of how they support us and agree with our mission. They also mention a certain "Philip" person from Appleseed ....Hmmmm...... who could that be? Could it be the one who burns up the phone lines to other instructors and to gun friendly companies across the country? (Thank God for unlimited phone plans!) Could it be the one who promotes, unashamedly and unabashedly, Project Appleseed to just about every single person he meets as he travels this great country of ours???
Yes! It is our very own Castle Mountain, promoter extraordinaire, who doesn't know the meaning of "No" (especially from me)!!!! ;D Anne mentions that the increase in subscriptions from Appleseed more than doubly paid the cost of the ad. Thanks to everyone who subscribed during our Appleseed blitz!! Our actions do make a difference!
And what a beautiful ad it is. Thanks to Appleseed's own CM, Spitstickler for designing the ad and especially to Oleg Volk who took the picture of the lovely young lady in the picture, who's name, I believe is "Rebecca", and allowed us the rights to use the picture for the ad and for our posters. BTW, it was Anne Tuttle,who did the artwork for the first Waterman 300 shoot we did last year in Waterman, Il. Over 200 shooters attended along with instructors from around the nation. What a great, coming together experience that was. Anne didn't charge us for any of the artwork she did and used that picture on the cover of the magazine last year to help promote the shoot and Appleseed. Additionally, they have written at least three very nice articles supporting Appleseed over the past year or so.
It you, therefore, feel so inclined, a quick email off to Backwoods Home magazine with a note of appreciation would be nice.
Isn't that great? Building relationships and, dare I say, friendships with people in companies all across the nation who support Appleseed and help us to do what we do best, train up average Americans in marksmanship skills to become Riflemen and to teach our American Revolutionary War history message. The true message of our forefathers' sacrifice for us and for our nation. Can we do less??

Good job CM/PG/Spit! Great initiative! It's really nice of them to help promote AS. I just subscribed. I've seen BH mag before but never pulled the trigger on a subscription until now. Lots of good info. I just read an article on canning your own bacon and am going to try it out.
