Title: How does one get a link on the Store?
Post by: douglas34474 on July 20, 2010, 02:44:48 PM
I'm offering Ruger 10-22 rifles all set up as LTRs right out of the box.

How do I get a link from the Appleseed Store?

I don't know how to do that.  I'd have to deal with tax etc if we added them to the store and I can't do that, but I don't know how to do a link either

I have talked to Fred about it and he referred me the Bill 3, who I am told handles the IT stuff. I have PMed him but have not had a reply. Seeing the new web page, it's no wonder! The page looks great.

I would not expect AS to have them in the Store. The ATF issues would not make it attractive to AS; I understand that. But a link from the Store, with the requisite disclaimers that these are not from AS, would be great.

There seemed to be a lot of desire on the Forum to be able to simply order a rifle already set up for AS, so as they say, find a need, fill a need.

Thanks for the reply.

I think it's a great idea.

Bill 3 handles the website and might be able to get you a link on there.  The store is a whole different software program that only I have access to so I don't think he'll be able to help you with that unless he can tell me how to do it.

I may be stating the obvious or over simplifying but is it possible to locate a AS member who has an FFL and or an armorer that can set up and sell a AS setup rifle to the public. And just provide folks looking for such a rifle with the contact info.  ???

bull3

That is exactly what doug is doing- he's a licensed gunsmith/FFL and is building brand-new LTR's for shipment to your FFL.

Are you still offering the LTR?

One of my projects is to redo the 'How to Prepare' page on the website. I might be able to get permission to put a link there.

I'll answer for Doug, being as I just talked to him about this yesterday.

(he has intermittent internet access)

YES.  He is making LTR's available for delivery directly to your local FFL.

I'm still here.   :)

Yes, I still build LTRs based on the Ruger 10-22. A link to the store would be great!

What is your website address? I'd like to take a look at it.

I don't have a web page yet. I do have a post in the Support our Volunteers - Small Business Listings that describes what I put together.

It should not take me long to get a basic web page up and running.
